Fundamentals Team Lead

This role will challenge you to deliver in a fast-paced environment. It will entail a high work volume and tight deadlines, involving substantial value deals with significant complexity. The team was established as is relatively recently, and you will drive it to become a core centre of excellence on EU short term supply and demand fundamentals.

What you’ll do:

You will focus on coordinating, leading and developing the nine employees who make up the Market Fundamentals Team. As Team Lead, you will drive the team forward in indirectly supporting the advancement of trading gross margin in Shell Energy Europe gas, power and global Carbon trade books.

Your Analysts will be expected to develop at least one trade strategy each per quarter, and the team will need to publish insights including: daily updates on weather forecasts, daily updates on gas stacks and relevant infrastructure conditions + short term forecasts, daily updates on relevant power generation stacks + short term forecasts, regular comparison own proprietary views versus market views. You will need to support, coach and drive the team members to deliver.
