About our team & what we do:

Shell Energy Europe (SEE) is part of Shell Trading & Supply organization with a focus on European gas and power markets, and global emissions market. European gas and power business is a highly dynamic and challenging environment, which requires SEE to continuously find new CVPs for its suppliers and customers to be able to grow its portfolio. This role will be part of SEE’s Origination Desk responsible for South & East Europe and located in London. The Team handles physical and financial structured products in gas and power, working very closely with Trading and Deal Structuring desks.

What you’ll do:

The role will focus on Italian gas and power markets with particular emphasis on growing the renewable and small generation portfolio of SEE in line with the power strategy implementation. Power is a growth area for our business and origination will continue to be at the forefront of value delivery. In this role you’ll be expected to:

Create a funnel of renewable offtake opportunities from renewables in Italy

Develop structured sale/purchase deals with cogeneration facilities; work closely with deal structuring and the trading desk in doing so and coordinate well with commercial teams

Enrich the funnel of structured gas and power opportunities in Italy and South France.

Creative new CVPs including structured finance solutions for small to mid-size generation companies (including route to market)

Develop a healthy funnel for hedging solutions to capture a sizable market share in Italy, Spain and France.

Originate innovative deals around distressed assets in Italy with banks and financial institutions
