Essential Skills and Attributes:
-Previous work experience in construction, as an M&E manager/supervisor, within a commercial role.
-Good understanding of technical solutions.
-Able to build effective relationships with colleagues, project teams and the supply chain.
-Excellent communication skills with the external market and fellow employees.
-Detailed knowledge and understanding of work practices, processes and procedures relevant to the strategic trade within the construction process, from pre-construction stage and into construction stage.
-Good understanding of strategic procurement practices.
Desirable Skills and Attributes:
-Good knowledge of sustainability within procurement practices.
-Previous experience as a Buyer/Procurement Officer.
Key Tasks and Activities:
Some of your key tasks and activities will be to;
-Hold responsibility as a regionally focused, experienced package specialist, to identify the regional business demand and supply chain capacity for the strategic trade of "Building Services" - Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health Systems.
-Implement the procurement strategy for the strategic trade and develop the regional (and / or national) supply chain to suit the business demand.
-Provide market competitive and innovative procurement solutions for the trade which demonstrate best overall value for money and contribute to Bouygues UK`s success.
-Provide an effective and professional service in the procurement of sub-contractors and Equipment for the strategic trade.
