You will excel at developing and maintaining effective internal and external relationships, managing stakeholder groups and will have experience of supporting and embedding change. You will have experience of influencing others at all levels to drive the right culture and behaviours.
You will have strong communications skills and the ability to explain complex technical and regulatory issues to a non-technical audience.
You will be extremely organised and have a proven track record in prioritising and managing your workload. You will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel ideally to advanced level, and be confident in using IT in your everyday role.
You will have a practical common-sense approach to problem solving and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail. An understanding of Project Management and Risk Management processes would be desirable. What's in it for you ?
As Risk and Outperformance Manager you will be responsible for the provision of risk and outperformance information and analysis to assist and drive pro-active management of the Asset Management investment programme. Utilising positive management skills and intervention techniques, the role is responsible for embedding project risk and outperformance behaviours to assist the delivery of Yorkshire Water's outperformance targets.
You will ensure that others understand and operate risk and outperformance business processes by proactively communicating key information via formal and informal training. You will be responsible for implementing the Asset Management Capital Programme Risk Management Plan, driving best practice and delivering project risk workshops and training.
You will also be responsible for driving identification of Capital Programme outperformance, assessment and reporting of outperformance claims for Asset Management.
You will also be responsible for proactively identifying areas of under or over-performance and you will manage the process of reporting and developing proactive plans to identify further opportunities and address shortfalls. You will do this by working closely with and supporting colleagues from Asset Management and the wider business (including contract partners and framework consultants), to proactively identify opportunities for outperformance.
You will play a key role in assurance and quality control of data and claims. The role is also responsible for identifying areas for potential efficiencies for AMP7 and will support development of the AMP7 Outperformance Plan.
