Requirements

An excellent communicator, you will excel at gaining the confidence of the clients you are working with, building strong and lasting relationships through your genuine commitment to their care. Naturally resilient, you will be able to cope with stressful and demanding situations, and be accustomed to working under pressure to meet challenging deadlines. You'll already gained experience corporate finance and financial services, and potentially have also gained some exposure to:

  • public company (particularly USM listings)
  • consumer credit
  • funds (formation and operation - regulated and unregulated)
  • debt and/or equity crowdfunding

You will be tenacious and thorough with good commercial judgement, in order to find the best possible outcomes for our clients in often challenging circumstances. You will have an eye for detail, and be meticulous in your work - and be looking to take on high levels of responsibility from the outset. Job responsibilities

We're seeking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic lawyer, (3 years PQE+) to join our highly regarded Corporate team. Based in either our London, Bristol or Exeter office, and working as part of a busy team, your focus will be on corporate matters relating to the financial services sector, including:

  • insurance, corporate finance, investment funds, advisory and administration services
  • financial services advisory work: perimeter issues and high level compliance
  • financial services transactional work: in-sector collaborations, investment/financings and M&A including change in control consents, approved person clearances and scope of permissions
  • some wider corporate work: M&A, corporate finance and joint ventures/collaborative arrangements, working with colleagues across the firm's corporate practice

You will have gained experience in corporate law, and be looking to extend your practise and develop your career within an ambitious, forward-thinking Firm. We'll expect you to take a high degree of responsibility for the cases you're working on from the outset, with plenty of opportunity for client contact, whilst providing you with a supportive and stimulating team environment.
