Requirements

The successful candidate will be able to develop and maintain effective internal and external working relationships with colleagues across the business, a strong communicator, you will have excellent customer service skills. You will also have logical problem solving skills, basic IT skills with the ability to work with technical equipment. You will have a flexible attitude to your work as you will be working a variety of shifts in the role. As this is a mobile role, you will be required to travel. You will be provided with a Yorkshire Water van and therefore need a full valid EU driving licence. Ideally you will have experience of delivering against challenging business targets; previous experience in a commercially orientated and / or regulated environment. Previous experience within the water or waste water sectors or within the broader utilities, process or manufacturing industry sectors or an understanding of drainage and sewerage systems would also be beneficial.

Job responsibilities

You will undertake thorough and timely investigation of operational problems on our sewerage network to prevent repeat customer contacts and support other operational teams with investigations into network asset problems. As the key contact for the customer you will be required to keep the customers informed of the outcome of investigations and liaise with the customer while on site. You will also assist in the performance monitoring and coaching of our Repair & Maintenance partners which includes carrying out quality audits. You will also therefore be required to provide Audit reports and Escape Report submissions including recommending customer compensation payments and will be required to assess, photograph, report and recommend Third Party recharges, determine and organise remedial works and liaise with Service Partners on these issues. You will produce investigation reports to promote Capital or Operational Solutions and liaise with Network Engineers to progress these whilst also liaising with the Customer Case Managers, to ensure they have all the information required on Network Service Techinicain jobs to keep the customer updated. You will ensure Health and Safety working practices/procedures are complied with at all time and assist in the coaching of new team members across the Customer Service team. When making day to day business decisions you will be required to demonstrate financial awareness and provide technical support to the first line response to customer contacts to ensure first time resolution, ensuring that the most cost effective resolution is promoted. The is a full time role working 37 hours per week between the hours of 07.00 to 19.00 Monday – Sunday. The hours will be worked within this timeframe dependent on arrangements with your line manager, but will include working no more than 1 weekend in 4.
