HNC or similar obtained experience and knowledge. • Experience in manufacturing and leadership roles. • Experience working with natural materials is an advantage • Low volume manufacturing experience desirable • Excellent leadership and communication skills. • Excellent organizational skills, presentation and problem solving skills. • Good IT skills. • Fluent English is essential and basic • Must be technically competent • Need to understand manufacturing process, product performance and Plant/Platform organisation. • Wide knowledge in all Quality issues and process in their area. • Good communicator – ability to deliver clear, concise and convincing information to Management team
Ensure target and process delivery considering Volume, quality, cost and cross-shift issues are communicated and acted upon • Root cause analysis for long and short term solutions • Able to make judgements about situations and when to escalate them ( e.g. absentees) • Projects led by Planning • Effective problem resolution • Line and resource allocation in conjunction with the Production Manager(s) • People: Coach, mentor and develop team leaders, proxy team leaders and associates in process surveillance, structured problem solving, RFT, 5S, continuous improvement. • Ensure teams are motivated and trained to the correct level. Disciplinary responsible. • Parts: Manufacture of interior trim parts for all models. Control stock in area – buffers, shelf stock, scrap • Targets: Monitor and improve KPIs • Work with other departments to resolve issues e.g. PQ, Engineering, Bespoke.
