Requirements

The successful candidate will be an experienced M&A VP with proven knowledge of the M&A process and bringing an understanding of a variety of sectors. A strong academic record from a top tier university or the equivalent; An engineering background, combined with a Master in Economics or Finance is preferred Proven work experience working in an Investment Banking / M&A platform either within a specific sector team or in a generalist capacity. Demonstrable track record of cross border M&A transactions Thorough understanding and experience in BNP Paribas Domestic Markets (France, Belgium or Italy) as well as in European countries, Middle Eastern and African Markets Excellent quantitative, modelling and analytical skills Proven modelling and valuation experience including integrated projection models, comparable companies, comparable transactions, DCF, LBO models Analytical mind-set and commercial knowledge of capital markets Business acumen, commercial mind-set, ability to think and work independently Good presentation & communication skills, both written and verbal Strong client relationship management skills Demonstrate good organizational skills Adherence to high quality standards Team player, coach and mentor to junior bankers Demonstrable tenacity and drive Fluent in English; additional languages considered a plus

Job responsibilities

Marketing & pitching books:

Responsible for assisting in marketing of deals Take the lead in developing relationships with specified clients Responsible for preparing pitch books with low level of supervision from the MD/Director Stay involved / informed after the pitch and keep analysts/associates informed Ensure high quality standards and reliability of all marketing materials

Execution:

Support the Director / MD on the deal execution including leading day-to-day aspects of deal Responsible for valuation / modelling Directly in charge of the most complex analyses (Merger model, LBO, complex Business Plans) Coach and supervise analyst/associates Interact directly with clients and with other advisors (lawyers, co advisors,…) at an appropriate level Ensure high quality standards and reliability of all materials (including Analysts’ work).
