Requirements

Proven underwriting experience essential within the motor arena. Knowledge of the UK insurance fraud landscape, legislative environment and counter fraud strategies is an advantage. Understanding of Fraud MI and good understanding of statistical analysis an advantage. Ability to identify, quantify and manage risk and create frameworks for risk monitoring and mitigation activity Strong analytical skills. Good organisation and planning skills. Strong influencing and persuasive skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job responsibilities

Receive new instructions (either via manual or system generated referral in the future) to identify policies / customers which require investigation and undertake them through a combination of techniques (including but not limited to data analytics, research and other evidence gathering techniques) Obtain evidence with due regard to appropriate legislation and regulatory practices such as Data Protection Act. Identify new or previously unrecognised fraud trends / patterns and bring to the attention of the Underwriting Fraud Manager Liaise and develop mutually beneficial relationships with external parties i.e. other insurers, IFB, law enforcement to leverage and execute fraud investigation Work closely with our key brokers to ensure support and delivery of our UW Fraud strategy Assist in the delivery of fraud training as and when required Continue to gather knowledge, information and insight into new and emerging fraud trends and take steps to prevent the organisation against these. Build, maintain and produce consistent, accurate business critical management information to be used throughout the company.
